For a quick reference, use our step-by-step guidance in order to plan your next travel adventure.

STEP BY STEP

Everything you need when preparing for travel. We want to break it down and make it as easy as possible for you to find valuable information on how to prepare the right way for your trip. In this guide we have set up some guidelines and divided them into three different categories: BEFORE, DURING and AFTER your trip.

BUDGET

One thing we all need to be able to travel is cash. Can’t really find a way around it and sometimes it is sad to see you money go up in smokes. But there are ways to make it last longer. In this part we give examples of how to put up a budget before your departure and how to keep it while on the road. If you need any help with setting up a budget or have general questions regarding budget in certain parts of the world, feel free to send us an e-mail and we will try to help you out.

PLANNING

The best way to start planning for your trip is to sit down with a map, pen and paper and build yourself a foundation of where you wanna go and what you wanna see, call it your travel bucket list. This process do not have to be very long. We advocate a certain level of spontaneity while traveling, because this is what keeps you alive and hungry, but it is always good to have some sort of set route.

PACKING

If there is one thing we have learned while traveling it is that one of the most important key factors to a satisfying trip is how you pack your bag. Think and apply the 20/80 rule, meaning you pack 20% of all your things which will cover 80% of all situations. Minimalistic is just the beginning, you have to conform and apply a new way of traveling.

TRAVEL PHILOSOPHY

After traveling the world we have gathered some very important tips that we wanna share with our fellow travelers. This is our best advice and we do not recommend you to try to emulate our way of traveling and do or not do what we do during our trips – but to merely use it as guidelines. The best adventure often comes when you are spontaneous and ignore the guidebooks. Listen to your instinct, ignore your set route and travel with someone you just met and by all means do not be afraid to get lost. Sometimes this is the only way to find the right place for you and appreciate things for what they really are.

RESOURCES

When traveling the world, no matter where you are going – good travel resources is extremely important. In order to help make your travel planning a little easier we have put together an overview of our favorite travel resources.
